Notable Victory for December 2013 for Client Facing Deportation

Jan 27, 2014 3:04:52 PM / by Staff Attorney

This was a victory that no one could have ever predicted. Client was a man in detention facing imminent deportation -- known as reinstatement of removal –– for violating his prior deportations. This case illustrates how essential it is for immigrants to find a law firm that will do whatever it takes to help them.

It also shows the power of the U visa to overcome past immigration and even criminal problems and transform lives. We went deep enough to create a compelling narrative about the life of this man, an explanation as to why he kept returning to the country even after three prior deportations [answer: to protect his young daughter from an unsafe home environment], and we used the power of persistence in order to encourage the police to take the unprecedented step of going to an immigration detention center to take the please report of something that occurred a year ago. For more information see the details of the case at link for Notable Case for December 2013.
